STEVE’S VISION

  1. Help professionals and leaders on the front lines of construction and manufacturing companies to establish a positive safety mindset among their team that translates to reducing injuries.
  2. Through my Mission below, support companies with a strong desire to create and sustain a workplace where doing what’s right, doing your best, and professional camaraderie are the hallmarks of day-to-day operations; making it a safe, supportive, productive, and pleasant workplace for your team.

STEVE’S MISSION:  WHY IS STEVE A SAFETY PROFESSIONAL?

  1. Provide safety training that doesn’t bore people to death in English and Spanish that is world class, educational, motivating, engaging, memorable, challenging, one-of-a-kind, and fun.
  2. Provide quality, dynamic, and challenging toolbox safety talk videos through OSHAFLIX that don’t bore people to death in English and Spanish!
  3. Teach supervisors, foremen, managers, business owners, and safety professionals through OSHAFLIX how to powerfully deliver those videos in their toolbox talks!
  4. Provide simple, paperless safety forms to help small-to-medium-size companies automate their safety documentation, reduce clutter, improve efficiency, and not have to scan in so much paper!

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BEST WAYS TO REDUCE INJURIES?

  1. Focus on Safety 24/7 baby!  Put it into practice at work, at home, and on the road.
  2. Realize that ignoring safety rules is such a selfish act because our countless daily decisions affect so many people besides ourselves.
  3. Remember what we value as human beings:  All people throughout the world value their life, health, and loved ones.  Continually remind your crew of this fact and they will be much less likely to choose an unsafe shortcut when they realize how their risky decision could profoundly affect all that they value.
  4. Create Safe Habits:  Purposely creating safe habits develops muscle memory with tools, machines, and routines.  This will significantly reduce the chances of injury in the day of distraction because our bodies will most always naturally and automatically carry out the safe habit we have created.  It’s kind of like driving on autopilot:  You switch lanes and get off the highway automatically at the correct exit without even realizing it.
  5. Teamwork is one of the best way to reduce injuries because -at some point- we will get distracted and miss things.  Thus, if we look out for each other, speak up, and receive that reminder; then injuries will decrease.  Conversely, if we respond to our coworkers who remind us about safety by telling them where they can go and what they can do with themselves; then camaraderie breaks down, no one wants to work there, and safety suffers for all involved.
